Whiskey Advent Calendar Review #2

Sipping this whiskey takes me to my sofa on a morning in early June where my only plans are whatever I want.

The weatherman on the screen is calling for unseasonably warm temperatures. I glance at Goose and it's almost as if we heard the same news. Within seconds, one of us is hanging our head out the truck window as we zigzag between the cars on the way to the mini mart. Fast forward 30 minutes and we're both planted on the front porch.

Seems like the plans for today have been sorted - A couple beers, a little music, and a lot of sitting in the sun.

Color: Copper, not too light, not too dark - a goldilocks shade

Nose: First pass is similar to a resiling. Sweet, Berry, subtle clove

Palate: Overwhelming cinnamon, with hints of nutmeg and brown sugar, followed by an overpowering spicy bite that flows into tobacco and leather

Finish: Lingering and still developing. Reminiscent of anise
